Any Tumblr-ers out there? I've started a new blog, Palaeofail, detailing the derailed, despicable, and outright dumb comments about palaeontology that are, sadly, abounding over the web. Take a look, and try not to get too depressed by the chronicles of the failures of many to understand palaeontology based on the information they learned from 1950s dinosaur books, Jurassic Park, and those complete loons out there. And please, if you come across a palaeofail on the web, screencap it, being sure to edit out any private information, and send it over. Palaeofail runs almost entirely on submissions from people like you who actually know what they're talking about.

The good news: My main computer is finally fixed.

The bad news: More drawings (When I was typing I accidentally typed "art" by mistake!)

The terrible news: Non-maniraptors coming. *horror movie theme* Yes, I know. Control yourself. It won't last very long, I promise.

...that the tagline for The Pterosaur Heresies is "There's something very wrong with our pterosaurs?"

This just happened to be on my TV the other day, so I decided to go ahead and watch it. Actually pretty good.

-The Giganotosaurus (later revealed to be Mapusaurus, which was good) was a bit shrink-wrapped and had pronated hands, but the protofeather coating  that it had as a hatchling mostly made up for it.

-The Argentinosaurus had correct hands, but nostrils on the forehead, a horizontal neck, and was said to live over 100 years. Overall one of the better animals in the movie.

-The Quetzalcoatlus had scaly skin and a bipedal takeoff. It was also shown flying over water, but it wasn't stated that it flew over water, which was good. Oh, and they got the head crest right!

-The CGI was okay, although there wasn't as much as I would have liked.Sequences were repeated little, if ever, and there were no talking heads.

-The extinction sequence was beautiful. It really emphasized how so many things happened simultaneously by sheer bad luck. Then, just when you think all is lost, you see a bird flying, prompting majestic music and an explanation of why dinosaurs are still here.

-The Unenlagia...  Oh boy.... It was a JP-raptor with a few lazily slapped on secondaries. Shown near water though, which was about the only plus point. It was introduced as a major character, and seen for all of five seconds.
